My Classic Vespa from 1972 is finally being restored. It was really hard to choose the color; finally, after a research (academic influencies?!), I found out that there were 4 original colors of this model in 1972. This yellow (Texas yellow) was one of them, I contacted a Fiat specialist painter (they work with the same color references as Piaggio) and gave him the Max Meyer original reference.
I’m waiting for years for the restoration, the mechanic phoned me, saying he was finally working on it! I wanted to make a lot of pictures when I saw that finally, the parts were being assembled, but, after one pic, my phone ran out of battery! Off course, I had my schmincke watercolor pan with me, along with all the painting gear to fix the problem (they never get out of battery)! The scooter was made in Italy, bought in Portugal and being restored at Spain! Looking forward to ride it again

Não escrevo em inglês por pretensiosismo! Não me intrepretes mal – plz! Acontece que o inglês é uma das minhas paixões – ganho a vida ensinando inglês…É importante usá-lo num blogue se não quisermos postar apenas para nós próprios! Quando iniciei este blogue fi-lo em português, nas primeiras duas semanas praticamente a única visita e comentário que recebi foi do André Santos – um guitarrista de jazz sobre o qual eu tinha postado. Então a minha opção tornou-se clara! Agora sobre o nível e tal – quero dizer-te que ” you really made my day” 😀 😀 😀
Eu entendo-te, os meus amigos às vezes também me criticam, mas é de facto muito mais universal. Tentei escrever em inglês, português e espanhol, mas era inviável, pelo tempo que demorava. Digo mais, já que vivi e vivo fora de Portugal, não há nada pior do que não entender uma comunicação, seja qual seja. O inglês é (quase) universal, mais ainda mais o é o Desenho, que foi a linguagem que desenvolvi, talvez também por me sentir muitas vezes “lost in translation” 🙂
Em relação ao teu inglês perfeito conto-te uma pequena anedota: a primeira vez que escreveste em português, eu digitei um comentário dando-te os parabéns por dominar esta língua (PT). Instintivamente pensei que o inglês seria a tua língua mãe… Quando acabei de escrever a frase (em inglês) de parabéns pelo português, reflexionei:”é melhor apagar, porque se calhar é mesmo português” 🙂
Essa tem muita piada – espero que o português fosse perfeito mesmo!
Eu já não sei o que é o português perfeito, nem Ingles, nem espanhol… BTW, avisa-me, P.F. se escrevo alguma asneira grande em inglês! 🙂
